Baba Sawan Lodge Limited was founded by Maya and Suresh Advani in the early 1990s, born from a deep-rooted passion for providing care to those with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Maya, a fearless pioneer, brought a unique blend of strength and compassion to the organisation. Her unwavering belief in the power of human connection and her determination to make a difference inspired Suresh, a shopkeeper turned entrepreneur, to join her on this journey.

Together, they created a haven of care, named after Baba Sawan, a religious leader who embodied the compassion and empathy they sought to install in their work. Maya's legacy of fearlessness and resilience continues to shape the organisation’s mission. Her sons, Nikhil and Anuj, have inherited her spirit, carrying on the tradition of providing exceptional care and building upon the foundation she laid.

Under the leadership of Nikhil and Anuj, BSL Care has expanded significantly, opening additional homes like Hambleton House, Bow Lodge, and Hollywell Court. The organisation’s legacy continues to grow, having recruited a Head of Service, Supported Living Manager, and PBS Lead. They now offer supported living services in Leicester and Leicestershire and continue to work closely with all stakeholders. This growth has allowed the organisation to cater to individuals with more complex needs, providing specialised support and services tailored to their unique requirements.
