About Us
At Depaul UK, we operate as a leading youth homelessness charity specialising in accommodation, support, and preventative services for young people facing homelessness, family breakdown, or crisis. Established with a core commitment to social justice and positive futures, our mission is built on helping young individuals rebuild their lives, secure safe housing, and develop the independence needed to thrive.
Who We Are
Headquartered in London and operating projects across London, the North East, Greater Manchester, and the South West of England, our organisation brings together experienced youth support workers, housing officers, specialist outreach teams, and dedicated volunteers. We collaborate closely with local authorities, community partners, landlords, and corporate supporters to deliver integrated, trauma-informed care and supportive housing solutions.
What We Do
We deliver an integrated suite of youth housing, support, and homelessness prevention solutions:
- Supported Accommodation: Providing safe transitional housing and 24-hour supported lodgings for young people who are homeless or at risk.
- Nightstop Service: Offering emergency, community-based temporary accommodation through vetted volunteer host families for young people experiencing sudden homelessness.
- Family Mediation & Breakdown Prevention: Delivering early-intervention family mediation services designed to help young people remain safely in the family home where appropriate.
- Education, Training & Employment (ETE) Support: Offering targeted coaching, skill-building workshops, and guidance to help young people access education, secure jobs, and achieve financial independence.
- Mental Health & Wellbeing Support: Providing compassionate guidance and counselling pathways to help young people address trauma, build resilience, and improve mental wellbeing.
Our Approach & Values
- Trauma-Informed Care: Acknowledging the complex backgrounds of the young people we support and providing empathetic, non-judgmental environments that foster healing and trust.
- Empowerment and Independence: Equipping young individuals with practical life skills, confidence, and agency so they can successfully transition into independent living.
- Collaborative Community Action: Working hand-in-hand with local communities, volunteers, and statutory partners to tackle the root causes of youth homelessness.
