About Us
At Minstead Trust, we operate as a dedicated charitable trust and social enterprise specialising in supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Established with a core commitment to empowering independence, developing life skills, and fostering social inclusion, our mission is built on delivering compassionate, person-centred care and community opportunities that enable individuals to live fulfilled, purposeful lives.
Who We Are
Operating through regional residential settings, supported living networks, and specialised day opportunity hubs (including Minstead Lodge, Furzey Gardens, and Hanger Farm Arts Centre), our organisation brings together experienced care managers, support practitioners, employment coordinators, and therapeutic staff. Fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for applicable care services, we collaborate closely with local authorities, health teams, families, and community partners to deliver structured care and personal development pathways tailored to each individual.
What We Do
We deliver an integrated suite of care, support, and community solutions:
- Supported Living & Residential Care: Providing safe, supportive, and person-centred living environments that encourage personal autonomy and daily living skill development.
- Day Opportunities & Skill Training: Offering structured vocational training, horticulture, art, enterprise projects, and life-skills education to build confidence and employability.
- Social Enterprises & Community Integration: Running inclusive public venues (such as Furzey Gardens and Hanger Farm Arts) where people with learning disabilities gain real-world work experience and social engagement.
- Family & Transition Support: Providing guidance, respite coordination, and transitional care pathways to support individuals moving from education into adult independence.
Our Approach & Values
- Potential-Led Empowerment: Placing the unique talents, choices, and personal goals of every individual at the centre of all support planning.
- Rigorous Compliance: Maintaining strict adherence to CQC regulations, comprehensive background-enhanced DBS checks, and continuous professional development for all support staff.
- Inclusive Communities: Fostering vibrant, welcoming environments that break down societal barriers and celebrate the contributions of people with learning disabilities.
