Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to residents in a care home environment. Your role will be vital in promoting dignity, independence, and well-being for each individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Support residents with mobility and physical activities, including using mobility aids.
- Help with mealtimes, serving food and drinks, and assisting residents who need help eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, promoting mental and emotional well-being.
- Record and report changes in residents conditions to senior staff or nurses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents.
- Support residents in social activities and daily routines.
- Ensure residents dignity and privacy are always respected.
Requirements:
- Genuine passion for working in care and helping others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Reliability, patience, and a caring nature.
- Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to undergo training and DBS check.
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Manual Handling, First Aid, and Safeguarding training.
- Medication Awareness
