Care Assistant Overview: You’ll provide compassionate, person-centred care to our residents, helping them live as independently and comfortably as possible. Each day, you’ll assist with daily living tasks such as personal care and meal times, ensuring residents feel safe, respected and engaged.
You will support individuals with learning disabilities to take part in a variety of meaningful activities that promote independence and confidence. This may include accompanying residents on shopping trips in the local community, assisting with light household tasks or meal preparation and joining in with arts, crafts, or exercise sessions. These everyday activities help to build life skills, boost self-esteem and offer a sense of routine and purpose.
At the heart of your role is the promotion of dignity, choice and independence in every aspect of care. You’ll build strong, trusting relationships with residents, their families and your team while ensuring care plans are followed and tailored to individual needs. Accurate record-keeping is also essential to support the delivery of the highest standard of personalised care.
