We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for providing high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to individual care plans. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the care environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as needed.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and staff.
- Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and accessing care plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
