Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Senior Carer to join our warm and friendly team at Nether Place Nursing Home, a well-established care home committed to providing exceptional, person-centred care to our residents. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Duties
- Providing high-quality personal care and support to residents
- Leading by example and supervising care staff on shift
- Writing and updating care plans and risk assessments
- Liaising with healthcare professionals and family members
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including behaviour management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress.
- Support residents with dementia care, ensuring a safe environment
Skills
- Experience in nursing home or similar care environments is highly desirable.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards)
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- A caring, patient and respectful approach to others
- Capability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
A full enhanced disclosure must be provided; the cost of this will be met by the employee. The shifts are worked across 12 hours, days/nights, including a share of weekends. You will need to have the Right to Work in the UK, as we are NOT able to offer Health and Care Worker visas.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.87 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
