Job Title: Tracheostomy Trained Healthcare Assistant
We are recruiting an experienced Tracheostomy Trained Healthcare Assistant to join our Complex Care division. You will be supporting clients in their own homes with complex clinical needs, ensuring safe, high-quality care at all times.
This role is ideal for a confident HCA with recent tracheostomy experience who is looking to work closely with clients in a one-to-one setting
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 care for clients with tracheostomies
- Perform tracheostomy care, including suctioning, stoma care, and inner cannula changes (if within competence)
- Monitor airway patency and escalate concerns promptly
- Support with PEG/NG feeds if required (training provided)
- Assist with mobility, personal care, and daily living tasks
- Maintain accurate care notes and documentation
- Work closely with the clinical team to ensure safe practice
- Promote dignity, independence, and person-centred care
What We’re Looking For
- Tracheostomy trained with recent hands-on experience
- Confident in airway management and emergency response
- Experience working in complex care, ICU, HDU, community or similar
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
- Up-to-date mandatory training
- Proof of recent tracheostomy competency (essential)
- Ideally, experience with ventilators (not essential – training available)
- At least 1 Year of experience working as an HCA in the UK

Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £11.75-£15.00 per hour
