Care Assistant Duties Include:
- Personal Care: Assisting our clients with daily hygiene tasks and grooming
- Handling Equipment: Manual handling equipment to assist clients
- Meal Preparation: Cooking meals, assisting clients with eating, and ensuring proper hydration
- Domestic Tasks: Housework, grocery shopping
- Record Keeping: Documenting records of daily care visits accurately
- Medication Management: Administering or prompting medication as prescribed, collecting prescriptions
- Emotional and Wellbeing Support: Providing social engagement, conversation, and emotional support. Encouraging participation in social activities, hobbies, and accompanying them to appointments. Community visits. End of life.
Essentials Skills & Requirements:
- Communication: Good level of English, both written and verbal
- Empathy: Have a kind and caring nature
- Patience & reliability
- Teamwork: Liaising with healthcare professionals, family members, and care teams to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to care.
- Work authorisation in the UK is required
