Job Title: Care Assistant

We are recruiting for dedicated and committed Care Assistants to work in the Dereham area to work within a local care home. Specialising in 1-1 care for a gentleman with dementia on a temp – perm basis.
THE ROLE
- To follow instructions and care plan\
- Treat service user with respect at all times
- Supporting this individual with his personal hygiene and appearance
- Maintain a safe environment for staff and service users
- Encourage the independence and motivation of the service user
- Support the service user to make informed choices
- Feedback any necessary information to the person in charge
- ]Complete all necessary paperwork
- Providing companionship to service user, communicating effectively with him
- To recognise signs of abuse and immediately report through the necessary channels.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
- UK experience as a care assistant is essential
- Must be reliable
- Must be resilient and compassionate
- Excellent communication skills
- Own transport is essential due to location of the role
- Online DBS essential
