Overview
Here at Availl Healthcare, we are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes whilst delivering the highest quality of care.
Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English, a willingness to learn and develop your skills, follow care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment as well as independently.
We look for a proactive person who can use own decision making skills, have a can do attitude and strong work ethic.
The Role:
As a Domiciliary Carer:
- You will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily tasks, and enhancing their quality of life.
- You will work closely with individuals who need support with everyday activities, including personal care, medication administration or reminders, meal preparation, and companionship.
- The role involves visiting clients in the community, so a driving license and access to transport is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care (e.g., washing, dressing, and grooming)
- Supporting clients with mobility and daily living activities
- Assisting with medication administration and reminders
- Preparing meals and assisting with eating and drinking
- Offering companionship and emotional support by building a rapport and creating meaningful relationships
- Ensuring clients' well-being and safety at all times
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided
- Working within care plans to meet individual needs
Shift Patterns Available:
- Mornings
- Afternoons
- Evenings
- Weekdays
- Weekends
We offer flexible working hours to suit your availability, with a variety of shift patterns to choose from.

Requirements:
- Experience in care (preferred, but not essential)
- A compassionate and caring attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A driving license and access to a vehicle (preferred for community visits)
- An enhanced DBS check (we will assist you with this if necessary)
Desirable:
- Experience with a range of clients such as elderly, clients with mental health care needs or individuals with learning disabilities
- Previous experience in domiciliary care
