About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Domiciliary Care Assistant to join our dedicated team, providing high-quality care to clients in their own homes across Solihull.
This is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining flexibility.
Please note that the nature of domiciliary care involves providing door-to-door support to clients in their own homes. When starting with Care4Now, you will not have a full run on both days immediately.
Hours are gradually built up by supporting our existing clients and taking on new clients as they join the service. Please bear this in mind when applying for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personal care, medication support, and companionship in line with individual care plans
- Promote independence and dignity in every interaction
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team
- Travel between client homes (driving license required)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in domiciliary or home care
- Must hold a valid UK driving license and have access to a vehicle
- Must be comfortable with alcohol consumption in social settings (e.g., accompanying clients to events)—please clarify if this refers to social flexibility or something else

Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to residents or clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication administration.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social activities.
- Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of best practices in patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care principles is preferred.
- Certification in first aid is an asset; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when assisting clients with mobility or transfers.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- A valid driving licence is essential for roles requiring the transportation of clients.
