We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Healthcare to join the team at HMP Dovegate, a Category B male prison located near Uttoxeter in Staffordshire
HMP Dovegate total operational capacity of approximately 1,060 - 1,160 prisoners
You will be joining a well staffed and fully integrated healthcare team managing a team working across Primary Care, Mental Health and Substance Misuse.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday: core office hours
Salary
This is a full time role offering a salary between £62,000 - £68,000 per annum depending on experience + £4000 car allowance + 10% discretionary bonus.

What you'll be doing:
As our new Head of Healthcare, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
- Provide management of the healthcare services on site, with overall responsibility for delivering a highly functional clinical service, within agreed budgets
- Maintain the strategic direction of the service, and deliver on agreed contractual requirements and targets from NHS England
- Lead, develop and motivate your team to deliver the best service possible
- Work closely with senior management within the prison, as well as the finance business partner and regional manager
- Strong service delivery and change management experience

Experience required:
- Clinical or Non Clinical applications welcome
- Inclusive leadership approach embedding a culture of continuous progression and innovation
- Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience as a CQC registered manager, or equivalent registered body
- Experience managing multifaceted budgets
- Experience of client management or meeting commissioner expectations
