Registered Manager – Residential Care Home
Location: Leicester (LE5)
Salary: £45,000 per year
Service Size: Under 10 service users
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a small residential care home supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs, including behaviours that may challenge.
This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a person-centred service that promotes independence, dignity, and inclusion within a safe, homely environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the service
- Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary care team
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred care
- Manage staff performance, supervision, and training
- Maintain full compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and clinical governance
- Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and external stakeholders
- Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels effectively
- Promote community engagement and independence for service users
- Respond effectively to challenges and incidents
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a care home or similar setting
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Sound clinical knowledge and understanding of person-centred care
- Good understanding of relevant legislation and CQC standards
- Financial and organisational management experience
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively
