Resident Manager

The company manages a diverse portfolio, including Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), Build to Rent, and Coliving properties. Its focus is on creating homes and communities that align with the way residents live, study, and work. This is Fresh provides integrated design, management, and maintenance solutions to deliver high-quality living environments and long-term value for stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- This is a full-time, on-site Resident Manager role based in Brighton and Hove.
- The Resident Manager will oversee the daily operations of the property, ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for all residents.
- Responsibilities include managing resident move-ins and move-outs, handling inquiries and complaints, coordinating maintenance requests, and monitoring building cleanliness and presentation.
- The role will involve supporting community-building initiatives, organizing resident events, and fostering strong relationships with residents to enhance satisfaction and retention.
- The Resident Manager will also assist with rent collection, basic reporting, and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, while collaborating with central support teams and external contractors as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong resident and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive, professional relationships and handle inquiries and complaints calmly and effectively.
- Experience in residential property management, hospitality, or a similar on-site role, ideally within student accommodation, Build to Rent, or Coliving environments.
- Good organizational and administrative abilities, including managing records, coordinating maintenance, and supporting financial tasks such as rent collection and reporting.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in engaging with diverse resident communities and internal stakeholders.
- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to building, safety, or resident issues.
- Comfort using property management or CRM systems, email, and standard office software to manage day-to-day operations.
- Knowledge of basic health, safety, and compliance standards in residential settings, or willingness to learn and follow company procedures.
- Ability to work on-site with a flexible approach to occasional evenings or weekends during peak periods or events.
- Previous experience in the local Brighton and Hove rental or student market is beneficial but not essential.
