About Us
After Care (NW) Limited is a UK‑based specialist provider of residential childcare, therapeutic youth provisions, and trauma‑informed development frameworks for children and young people.
We deliver comprehensive, person‑centred support in safe, community‑based spaces and specialised housing across our regional hubs, helping vulnerable individuals build resilience and positive outcomes.
Who We Are
After Care (NW) Limited operates a dedicated regional network of eight residential children's homes configured specifically for youth aged 7 to 18 who have experienced early life challenges, trauma, complex emotional needs, or challenging behaviours.
After Care (NW) Limited’s operations ensure strict statutory compliance, adhering fully to the national Children’s Homes Quality Standards under the direct regulatory monitoring of Ofsted to enforce safe workforce recruitment metrics and robust safeguarding standards across every home.
What We Do
Trauma‑Informed Residential Childcare
Providing safe, compliance‑informed housing provisions and home support where children live and learn with consistent support to recover personal confidence, managing family-style properties in the North West to minimise sensory triggers and provide a calm baseline for daily life.
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
Delivering coordinated care that integrates nurturing community support, stable daily routines, and specialised crisis de-escalation by training frontline staff in the internationally recognised Cornell University TCI framework to manage acute crises constructively.
Blended Clinical Therapy and Screening
Offering tailored psychological guidance, independent milestone mapping, and direct clinical coordination by combining team consultations, staff guidance on attachment, and joint assessment tools to measure a young person's emotional recovery.
Reparative Care and Skill Building
Using relationship‑based local networks and structured scheduling as part of strategic frameworks to supply youth with essential lifestyle toolkits, ensuring young people learn constructive ways to handle frustration, anger, or rejection to discover personal strengths.
Approach & Values
After Care (NW) Limited focuses on a child‑centred, relationship‑led care approach that respects each young person’s individuality, history, and potential. Its values—built entirely around providing high-quality homes where children can create lasting memories, keeping robust safeguarding parameters at the centre of daily operations, and utilising basic neuroscience concepts to inspire youth to overcome historical trauma—are embedded in care practice and support every aspect of the individual’s development.
Industry Role & Regulatory Registrations
After Care (NW) Limited operates directly within the UK children's social care, independent residential accommodation, and regional local authority high‑needs commissioning sectors. Because the organisation focuses exclusively on under-18 children's residential provisions in England, its individual settings are registered, inspected, and monitored directly by Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills) under the Children Act 1989.
