At Age UK Nottingham & Nottinghamshire, we are a leading local charity dedicated to improving the lives of older people across the region. Our mission is to promote the wellbeing of all older people and to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience, providing the practical support and companionship necessary to ensure no one in our community has to cope alone.
Who We Are
We are an independent local charity and a partner of the national Age UK network. We focus on delivering person-centred support that addresses the specific social, health, and practical challenges faced by older residents in our area. From providing information and advice to delivering direct care and social activities, our goal is to empower older people to remain independent, connected, and valued members of the community.
What We Do
We deliver an integrated range of services designed to support older people, their families, and their caregivers:
- Information & Advice: Providing free, confidential, and independent guidance on topics such as welfare benefits, social care options, housing, and legal issues.
- Health & Wellbeing Services: Delivering activities, exercise classes, and support groups designed to promote physical health and combat loneliness.
- Direct Care & Support: Offering practical help at home, such as cleaning, shopping, and companionship services to assist with daily living.
- Dementia Support: Providing specialist support and memory-focused activities for those living with dementia and their caregivers.
- Hospital Discharge Support: Working to ensure that older people receive the necessary support to transition safely from hospital to home, reducing the risk of readmission.
Our Approach & Values

Industry Role
We operate as a Local Charitable Support Provider. Our role is to act as a vital community bridge, providing the essential services, guidance, and social infrastructure that complement statutory health and care systems to ensure the wellbeing of the elderly population.
