Health Care Assistant/Support Worker

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or within a home care setting.

Duties

Assist with daily personal care routines, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support residents or clients with mobility and movement, ensuring safety at all times
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
Follow individualised care plans to meet the specific needs of each person
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
Support medication administration under supervision and report any concerns promptly
Assist with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment
Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as needed

Requirements

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations or home visits
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and following digital care plans
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals

Pay: £23,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
