Role Description

We're recruiting a Registered Manager to lead an exciting new 30-bed residential care home near Tunbridge Wells. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll build the team, help design and operationalise the premises, embed high-quality person-centred care, and prepare the service for CQC registration and inspection readiness. In addition, you will be responsible for the following duties below.

Duties

Lead and supervise care staff to ensure the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to residents’ needs, including medication administration and dementia-specific support.
Take joint-accountability with Nominated Individual for home occupancy level and sustainable operating costs
Oversee the day-to-day running of the care home, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents.
Develop and implement care programmes that promote independence, dignity, and well-being for all residents.
Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards set by regulatory bodies.
Manage staffing schedules, organise training sessions, and promote continuous professional development among team members.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care services.
Maintain accurate documentation relating to resident records, care plans, and incident reports.
Lead initiatives to improve service quality and resident satisfaction through innovative approaches to senior and dementia care.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience in care home leadership, either as a previous manager or particularly strong deputy manager candidates will be considered
NVQ / QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care preferred
CQC registration and new site experience is a big plus.
Familiarity with electronic health / social care records systems or CRM software would be a plus
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities

Type: Initially part-time or freelance, moving to a full-time role once CQC registration obtained

Salary: £50,000-£55,000
