Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with clients in their homes or care facilities, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support clients in following their care plans, ensuring that their specific needs are met.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate personnel.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is advantageous.
Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
