Who We Are
We are an NHS Foundation Trust employing over 7,000 staff who deliver care through two main hospitals—Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary—as well as across various community sites, health centres, and directly within patients' homes. What We Do
We deliver an extensive range of acute and community-based health services:
- Acute Hospital Services: Including urgent and emergency care (A&E), surgery, maternity and gynaecology, critical care, and diagnostic imaging.
- Community Health Services: Our teams provide care in health centres and patients' homes, covering services such as district nursing, therapy, sexual health, and paediatric care.
- Specialised Care: We offer palliative care, cancer services, and mental health support, often working in partnership with local hospices and community organisations.
- Hospital at Home: We provide a clinical "Hospital at Home" service for frail or elderly patients, allowing them to receive acute treatment in their own homes, which helps avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.
