About Us
Eildon Housing Association (operating legally under Eildon Housing Association Ltd as part of the Eildon Group) is a prominent UK‑based registered social landlord, charitable housing provider, and community care operator.
The organisation delivers comprehensive, person‑centred support within safe, community‑based spaces and specialised residential provisions across regional hubs, helping vulnerable individuals build resilience and positive outcomes.
Who We Are
Eildon Housing Association operates a vast network of social housing properties, sheltered housing complexes, and tailored support schemes across nearly 50 distinct towns, villages, and rural communities.
The organisation was established in 1973 by a small steering group of dedicated employees from Dingleton Hospital in Melrose who sought to create independent community homes for individuals ready for discharge. Over more than fifty years of operational growth, the group has diversified into one of Scotland's leading integrated housing and care providers, managing its regional services from its primary operational headquarters in Selkirk.
The service combines affordable landlord management, digital tenant portals, independent life skills development, and localised community intervention channels to support each neighbourhood's holistic development.
The multi-disciplinary frontline, care, and administrative teams include housing management officers, field care practitioners, trade specialists, and tenant support workers who create personalised development programmes adapted to the financial, physical, or cognitive challenges of local households.
Eildon’s regulatory frameworks ensure strict compliance with statutory legislation, working under the direct monitoring of the Scottish Housing Regulator, the Care Inspectorate, and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
