Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their wellbeing.

This role requires strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to follow care plans effectively. A valid driving licence is preferred as transportation may be necessary for certain duties.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs, ensuring that all requirements are met.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and wellbeing.
Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and reporting purposes as required.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary, ensuring their safety during transport.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
A good command of English, both spoken and written, is essential for documentation and communication purposes.
Basic IT skills for record management and reporting tasks.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
