Greenfields Residential Services
Greenfields is a specialist provider of therapeutic residential care and education for children and young people aged 8 to 18 who have experienced significant trauma, neglect, or adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
Who We Are
Established in 2000, Greenfields has built a national reputation for supporting young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs that often cannot be met by traditional care settings. They operate as part of the CareTech Group, a major social care provider in the UK.
What We Do
The organisation provides an integrated, therapeutic environment designed to help young people heal and build resilience:
- Therapeutic Residential Care: Providing stable, structured, and nurturing homes where children can feel safe and build secure attachments.
- Specialised Education: Delivering sustainable educational experiences tailored to individual potential, ensuring children remain in school and are supported throughout their care journey.
- Integrated Clinical Support: Access to an in-house team of professional psychotherapists, art therapists, and clinical psychologists who provide individual consultations and behavioural support programmes.
- STEP Framework™: A signature therapeutic framework that guides young people through three stages: Stabilisation, Strengthening, and Transition.
Approach & Values
- Person-Centred Care: Every care programme is bespoke, focusing on the individual’s unique story, emotional regulation, and personal goals.
- Unconditional Regard: The homes foster a non-judgemental, "family-like" environment where young people are encouraged to develop self-esteem, appropriate attachments, and life skills.
- Stability & Boundaries: By combining predictable routines with therapeutic support, they create a foundation for young people to process past trauma and prepare for independent adult life.
Industry Role
Greenfields operates as a Specialist Therapeutic Residential Care Provider. Their role is to provide intensive support for children referred by local authorities, acting as a critical intervention service that bridges the gap between acute trauma recovery and successful community integration.
