About Us
At Island Healthcare, we operate as a family-run health and social care provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred support for older adults and vulnerable individuals. Established in 2003 by founders Maggie and Nigel Bennett, our mission is built on treating residents and staff like family, ensuring accessible, compassionate, and dignified care.
Who We Are
Headquartered on the Isle of Wight, our organisation operates a network of specialised residential care, nursing homes, and a dedicated domiciliary care division known as The Hub. Regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), our facilities—including Brighstone Grange, Northbrooke House, Hazel Lodge, Tile House, and Highfield House—bring together experienced registered managers, qualified nurses, and compassionate support teams.
What We Do
We deliver an integrated suite of specialist residential care and community support solutions:
- Residential & Dementia Care: Providing safe, warm, and secure living environments tailored to the cognitive, emotional, and physical requirements of residents managing memory loss and age-related needs.
- Professional Nursing Care: Supplying clinical medical oversight and 24-hour nursing support within specialised home environments like Hazel Lodge.
- Domiciliary Home Care ("The Hub"): Operating a community care service that enables individuals across the Isle of Wight to remain independent in their own homes through tailored personal care, medication assistance, and daily living support.
- Respite & End-of-Life Support: Offering flexible short-term stays, day care options, and compassionate palliative pathways.
Our Approach & Values
- Family-Led Ethos: Fostering a warm, community-focused atmosphere where residents, families, and staff share close, trusting relationships.
- Technology & Innovation: Integrating modern digital care planning systems, electronic medication management, and high-speed connectivity behind the scenes to ensure precision and safety.
- Holistic Wellbeing: Focusing equally on nutritious home-cooked dining, engaging recreational activities, and regular outdoor excursions to local Isle of Wight beaches and beauty spots.
