Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care

We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

This is a key leadership role, offering full operational responsibility for the home, with the opportunity to drive standards, build a strong team, and deliver positive, long-term outcomes for young people.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will:

Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home
Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing staff team
Create a safe, structured and nurturing environment for young people
Drive a culture of accountability, consistency and positive outcomes

Compliance & Quality

Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and standards
Oversee safeguarding, risk management and incident processes
Maintain high-quality care plans, assessments and documentation
Lead on inspections and continuously improve service performance

Leadership & Operations

Manage recruitment, staffing levels and workforce planning
Deliver regular supervisions, appraisals and development plans
Manage budgets, occupancy and overall service performance
Work closely with senior leadership on service development and strategy

Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, Ofsted and external professionals
Represent the home professionally and maintain a positive reputation
Ensure effective communication with families and key stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s home
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and inspection frameworks
Experience supporting young people with SEMH / complex needs
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
Confident leader with a track record of improving services and outcomes
