At Proud to Care Devon, we are a dedicated initiative and support platform championing careers within the health and social care sector across Devon. Our mission is to raise the profile of the care workforce, connect passionate individuals with meaningful employment opportunities, and support care providers in tackling recruitment and retention challenges.
Who We Are
We operate as a collaborative workforce hub supported by Devon County Council and local care partners. We serve as a central bridge between jobseekers looking to enter or progress within the care sector and the numerous registered care providers operating across the region, ranging from domiciliary care agencies to residential and nursing homes.
What We Do
We deliver a comprehensive range of recruitment, training, and workforce support services:
- Care Job Board: Providing a centralised employment portal listing live vacancies for support workers, care assistants, registered nurses, and management roles across Devon.
- Career Pathways & Guidance: Offering clear information, advice, and guidance for individuals transitioning into social care, including those with no prior experience.
- Training & Development Support: Connecting care professionals with local training providers, professional development resources, and funded learning opportunities to upskill the workforce.
- Employer Support: Assisting local care providers with promotional campaigns, recruitment toolkits, and strategies to attract and retain high-quality talent.
