About Us
At Right There (formerly known as The Scottish Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders - SACRO, and later Rowan Alba), we are a specialised charity and social care provider dedicated to preventing homelessness, supporting families, and helping individuals overcome trauma. Our mission is to ensure that everyone has a safe place to live and the support they need to thrive.
Who We Are
Operating primarily across Scotland, we provide specialised supported living accommodation, community outreach, and family support services. Our organisation focuses on helping young people, vulnerable adults, and families navigate crisis, escape homelessness, and rebuild stable, independent lives.
What We Do
We deliver an integrated range of professional housing and support services:
- Supported Living & Accommodation: Providing safe, temporary, and long-term supported housing for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
- Youth & Young People's Support: Delivering dedicated mentoring, housing pathways, and transitional support for young people leaving care or facing family breakdown.
- Family Support & Intervention: Offering specialised programs to help families stay together, resolve crises, and navigate complex social challenges.
- Community Outreach & Wellbeing: Assisting individuals with mental health needs, addiction recovery, and independent life-skill development to ensure long-term stability.
Our Approach & Values
- Preventative Focus: Striving to tackle the root causes of homelessness and social exclusion before crisis occurs.
- Person-Centred Empowerment: Placing the individual strengths, choices, and personal goals of every person at the heart of our support models.
- Compassion & Respect: Treating everyone who walks through our doors with dignity, empathy, and absolute confidentiality.
