At St Elizabeth's, we operate as a leading national charity dedicated to supporting children, young people, and adults of all ages with severe epilepsy, learning disabilities, and other complex neurological needs. Our mission is to provide an empowering, safe, and nurturing environment where complex medical and educational needs are never a barrier to living a full and independent life.
Who We Are
Spanning a 68-acre rural parkland campus in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, our organisation brings together a dedicated multi-disciplinary team of educators, care specialists, nurses, and medical professionals. We combine expert clinical care with comprehensive residential and educational infrastructure to support individuals throughout their lives.
What We Do
We deliver an integrated suite of specialist educational, residential, and healthcare solutions:
- Specialist Residential School & College: Operating a non-maintained special school for ages 5 to 19, alongside a further education college and sixth form for young adults with severe learning difficulties and epilepsy.
- Adult Residential & Nursing Provision: Providing residential care homes and nursing facilities across a campus-style community designed to accommodate over 100 adults with complex medical needs.
- Day Opportunities & Enterprise Projects: Offering structured therapeutic, creative, and vocational activities—including horticulture, art, and craft projects—to promote life skills and community integration.
- Integrated Medical & Therapy Support: Delivering round-the-clock on-site medical care, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and psychological support tailored to each resident.
