At Sunlight Children's Care, we are a specialised family-run residential childcare provider dedicated to delivering safe, nurturing, and structured environments. Our mission is to support children and young people who have experienced early trauma, abuse, separation, or complex behavioural difficulties, helping them build the resilience needed for a positive future.
Who We Are
We operate specialised residential care homes tailored for children and young people aged 8 to 18 who experience social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) or behavioural difficulties. Our approach focuses on creating calm, stable environments staffed by vetted professionals trained in attachment theory and therapeutic frameworks.
What We Do
We deliver an integrated suite of residential childcare and support services:
- Medium & Long-Term Residential Placements: Providing structured, home-like residential environments for young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
- Therapeutic Support Frameworks: Operating within models such as Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) and attachment-informed care to help children process early trauma and emotional turmoil.
