About Us

At The Cambian Group, we operate as one of the leading independent providers of specialist education, residential care, and mental health services for children and young people. Our mission is built on delivering integrated, therapeutic care pathways that help children and adolescents with complex needs, autism, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges build stable, positive futures.

Who We Are

Headquartered in Uxbridge, Greater Middlesex, and operating as part of the CareTech Group, our organisation brings together over 4,000 specialist educators, residential care practitioners, clinical therapists, and support staff. We partner closely with the majority of local authorities across England and Wales to provide regulated, high-quality residential placements, schools, and fostering services.

What We Do

We deliver an integrated suite of specialist children's services and educational solutions:

  • Specialist Schools & Colleges: Operating independent educational facilities that provide tailored curricula, vocational training, and therapeutic support for students with autism and complex learning needs.
  • Children's Residential Care Homes: Managing safe, nurturing residential homes designed to support young people through trauma-informed care and structured daily routines.
  • Specialised Mental Health Services: Delivering clinical care pathways for children and adolescents experiencing severe behavioural, emotional, or psychological challenges.
  • Fostering Services: Providing professional foster care placement support and comprehensive training through dedicated regional branches.

Our Approach & Values

  • Integrated Care Pathways: Combining education, residential care, and multidisciplinary clinical therapy into a unified support framework to achieve measurable life outcomes.
  • Therapeutic Environment Focus: Creating safe, structured environments that empower young people to develop positive coping mechanisms, emotional regulation, and personal resilience.
  • Collaborative Local Authority Partnerships: Working transparently with social care commissioners and education authorities to ensure every child receives targeted, individualised support.

Industry Role

We operate as a Specialised Children's Residential and Educational Provider. Our role is to act as a vital national partner to local authorities, supplying essential residential infrastructure and specialized behavioral health services for vulnerable young people across the UK.
