About Us
At The Chaseley Trust, we are a purpose-built, independent nursing home specialising in the care of adults with complex neurological disabilities. We provide a warm, inclusive, and highly professional environment where our residents are empowered to live as independently as possible, supported by a multidisciplinary team that prioritises their unique clinical and emotional needs.
Who We Are
Located on the seafront in Eastbourne, we are a registered charity with a long-standing history of providing high-quality care. Our mission is to support individuals with a wide range of long-term health conditions including spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, stroke, and progressive neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Motor Neurone Disease (MND) by focusing on dignity, choice, and clinical excellence.
What We Do
We deliver expert, nurse-led care that bridges the gap between acute hospital support and long-term residential living:
- Complex Nursing Care: Our highly trained team is skilled in managing high-dependency needs, including tracheostomy care, ventilators, PEG feeding, and catheterisation.
- Specialist Rehabilitation: We offer tailored rehabilitation support in collaboration with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to help residents maximise their physical and functional independence.
- Residential & Respite Support: We provide both permanent residential placements and short-term respite stays, giving families essential peace of mind while ensuring their loved ones receive expert clinical attention.
- Person-Centred Wellbeing: We go beyond medical care to provide an active lifestyle, offering a wide range of social activities, outings, and therapy sessions designed to foster engagement and community connection.
Our Approach & Values
- Clinical Expertise: As an expert provider in neurological care, we invest heavily in training and modern equipment to ensure our residents receive safe, evidence-based, and compassionate support.
- Dignity & Autonomy: We believe every individual has the right to live their life their way. We design our care plans to respect the personal history, cultural background, and unique preferences of every resident.
- Charitable Ethos: Because we are a charity, our priority is the welfare of our residents. We reinvest our resources into our facilities, our team, and the quality of care we deliver.
- Collaborative Care: We work in close partnership with residents, their families, and external healthcare specialists to ensure our care remains proactive, holistic, and responsive to changing health needs.
Industry Role
We operate as a Specialist Neurological Nursing Home and Charitable Care Provider. Our role is to act as a vital community and regional resource, providing the high-acuity clinical support required by individuals with complex disabilities who cannot be fully supported in standard residential settings. We enable our residents to lead meaningful, high-quality lives in a safe, professional, and accessible environment.
