About Us

At TulipCare, we operate as an independent specialist provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, child-centred therapeutic care and education. Founded in 2008 with a vision to transform how looked-after children experience residential care, our mission is built on creating safe, welcoming, and nurturing environments where young females with complex needs can heal from past trauma and flourish.

Who We Are

Operating female-only residential homes across London, Essex, and Kent, our organisation brings together experienced therapeutic care practitioners, specialised teachers, and clinical mental health professionals. We partner closely with local authorities, social care teams, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), families, and commissioners to support young people aged 7 to 18 who experience emotional and behavioural difficulties.

What We Do

We deliver an integrated suite of specialist residential care and developmental solutions:

  • Therapeutic Residential Care: Providing stable, family-type homes for small groups of residents, offering structured daily routines, shared meals, household responsibilities, and emotional safety.
  • Trauma-Informed & Attachment-Based Therapy: Conducting thorough initial psychological assessments to design bespoke clinical pathways—incorporating counselling, psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and play therapy.
  • Therapeutic Education: Delivering customised educational programs that blend national curriculum requirements with emotional and behavioural support, helping students achieve nationally recognised accreditations and qualifications.
  • Independent Living & Resilience Building: Supporting young people as they develop self-esteem, life skills, and emotional regulation, preparing them successfully for the next chapters of their lives.

Our Approach & Values

  • Female-Centred & Safe Environments: Designing dedicated female-only spaces led by qualified female practitioners to foster deep trust, self-connection, and authentic relationship-building.
  • Curiosity Over Judgement: Training staff to recognise pain-based behaviours as calls for safety, responding with patience, consistency, and non-judgmental understanding during moments of crisis.
  • Holistic Integration: Combining residential care, clinical therapy, and specialised education into a unified 24-hour therapeutic experience tailored entirely to the individual child.

Industry Role

We operate as a Specialised Children's Residential Care and Education Provider. Our role is to act as a trusted social welfare partner, supplying vital therapeutic infrastructure and recovery pathways for vulnerable young people within the UK care system.
