About Us
At Able, we operate as a dedicated specialist residential care provider offering therapeutic homes and supportive environments for children and young people. Established with a core commitment to safety, emotional resilience, and person-centred care, our mission is built on providing small, warm, and stable home environments where vulnerable children can heal, develop, and thrive.
Who We Are
Operating through our corporate and administrative structures in East Anglia (trading as Able Health Care Limited, Company No. 06604185), our organisation brings together experienced residential care managers, specialised practitioners, and trained support teams.
Every home within our group is fully registered with Ofsted and consistently achieves high regulatory ratings ("Good" or "Outstanding"), working in close partnership with local authorities, social work teams, and safeguarding commissioners.
What We Do
We deliver an integrated suite of specialist residential care and youth support solutions:
- Therapeutic Lodges for Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties: Providing structured, secure residential environments for children who have experienced trauma or find it difficult to feel safe, backed by consistent staff trained in attachment and trauma-informed care.
- Specialist Houses for Autism & Learning Difficulties: Offering calm, predictable, low-stimulation spaces designed around sensory needs and individual communication styles for children who experience the world differently.
- Education, Health & Family Coordination: Integrating multi-agency support from day one, coordinating closely with schools, health specialists, and family networks to build long-term placement stability.
- Transition & Admissions Pathways: Managing structured matching, impact assessments, and gradual transition plans to ensure children settle successfully into their homes.
Our Approach & Values
- Child-Centred Advocacy: Placing the voice, history, and individual needs of every child at the absolute center of all care decisions, ensuring they have dedicated advocates in every review.
- Stability and Staying Power: Committing to long-term placements with steady teams who provide reliable, patient support even when challenges arise—giving up on a child is never treated as an easy option.
- Rigorous Internal Governance: Treating compliance as a baseline rather than a finish line, utilizing independent monthly scrutiny, internal auditing, and continuous staff development.
Industry Role
We operate as a Specialised Children's Residential Care Provider. Our role is to act as a trusted regional care partner delivering regulated, high-quality therapeutic homes and supportive environments across East Anglia.
