Who We Are

Wilderness Way operates therapeutic residential homes for children and young people, particularly those who have complex trauma or emotional and behavioural needs.

The organisation was founded in 2006 and has grown to operate numerous homes in tranquil rural settings across Cumbria, Northumberland, and southern Scotland.

The service combines structured care, education support, health and wellbeing programmes, and outdoor experiences to support each child’s holistic development.

The care teams include experienced practitioners, clinicians, and education staff who create personalised programmes based on the needs of each young person.

Wilderness Way’s residential services are regulated by Ofsted, the official body that inspects and regulates children’s social care services in England and Scotland.
