Clinical Manager – HIS Registered Clinic
Merchant City Medical Group is seeking a highly organised Clinical Manager to oversee the daily operations of our HIS-registered hair transplant and aesthetics clinic.
You’ll ensure full compliance with Health Improvement Scotland (HIS) standards, lead a multidisciplinary clinical team, and uphold exceptional patient care standards in a fast-paced private healthcare setting.

Role Overview:
We are recruiting a Clinical Manager to lead the operational and clinical side of our HIS-registered Glasgow clinic. This role requires a candidate with direct experience managing HIS / CQC standards, internal audits, and multidisciplinary clinical teams within a private healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full regulatory compliance with Health Improvement Scotland (HIS) guidelines
- Prepare for and lead HIS inspections, internal audits, and quality assurance reviews
- Manage all clinical staff (nurses, doctors, technicians), rotas, and performance
- Implement and review clinical policies, infection control procedures, and documentation standards
- Maintain accurate records for consent, incident reporting, patient safety, and safeguarding
- Ensure clinic equipment, medicines, and stock are maintained to regulation standards
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to develop governance strategies and improve clinical outcomes
- Address and resolve clinical risks, complaints, or adverse events appropriately
- Support the training and development of staff to meet HIS expectations and internal standards
Essential Criteria:
- Experience working in or managing an HIS-registered independent clinic
- Knowledge of HIS registration, compliance, and documentation processes
- Background in nursing, clinical coordination, or medical practice management
- Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
- Experience in infection control, patient care audits, and quality assurance
Desirable:
- Experience in an aesthetic or surgical environment (e.g., cosmetic surgery, dermatology, or hair transplant clinic)
- Familiarity with GDPR, safeguarding, and clinical software systems
