Job Title: Care Worker (Male)
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide domiciliary care for a single client in their own home. This role involves delivering 45 minutes of care every day from 8:30 am to 9:15 am, supporting the client to maintain independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care to the client, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Assist with morning routines, including personal care such as washing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support with meal preparation where required.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor for any changes in health or wellbeing.
- Provide dementia-aware support using appropriate behaviour management techniques, if applicable.
- Encourage independence, reassurance, and positive engagement during the visit.
- Perform moving and handling tasks safely when required.
- Maintain accurate daily care records and promptly report any concerns or changes to the care team.
- Follow the client’s personalised care plan and work in line with company policies and procedures.
Working Hours
- 45 minutes per day
- 8:30 am – 9:15 am
- 7 days a week (or as agreed)
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 1 year of home care experience (required).
- Experience in domiciliary care, senior care, nursing homes, or similar settings is desirable.
- Knowledge of medication administration and dementia care is advantageous.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours calmly and professionally.
