Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

About the role
We are delighted to be recruiting a Registered Manager for a small, welcoming children’s home in Bargoed, supporting 2–3 young people in a stable, nurturing environment.
This service is run by a charity / non-profit organisation, meaning the focus is firmly on quality care, relationships, and long-term outcomes, rather than occupancy or profit.
As Registered Manager, you will have the time and space to lead with purpose, build a strong staff team, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people.
Key responsibilities
- Overall management of the children’s home in line with Ofsted regulations
- Creating a safe, supportive, and child-centred environment
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the staff team
- Ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance
- Building positive relationships with professionals, families, and external agencies

About you
- An experienced Registered Manager (or Deputy Manager ready to step up)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s residential care
- Passionate about delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care
- Confident leader with a supportive, hands-on approach
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
