We’re looking for a Registered Manager with a passion for delivering high quality care to join our team at Cygnet Woodrowe House.
You will be working full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Please note this role does carry the responsibility of on-call duties as and when required in support of the Service.

Cygnet Woodrowe House
Woodrowe House is a leading neurological complex care service located in the picturesque outskirts of Leicester, in Markfield.
We specialise in complex care and treatment for individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and other neurological conditions, including stroke and spinal injuries. Our mission is to provide a supportive and expert environment for long-term and short-term care needs.
Your Day-to-Day
To ensure that all stages in the stay of the individuals in our care including admission, leaving and other times of change, are properly explored, planned and managed, with the appropriate involvement of relatives, placing authorities and the individuals themselves and are reflected upon in care plans.
- To continually assess and supervise the work of staff to ensure consistently high standards and efficient running of the service while creating an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of the residents.
- To lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management and to embed clinical governance within the service.
- To preserve effective communications through regular contact / meetings with residents, relatives, staff, Operations Director and any other concerned bodies; maintaining appropriate minutes / reports.
- To develop, implement and monitor systems of administration within the facility, including record keeping, maintaining adequate supplies, stock, equipment, resident’s property and valuables.
- To work together with the Regional Estates Manager and local maintenance team to ensure a preventative and responsive maintenance programme is in place.
- To ensure the implementation of the services Health and Safety Policy, Emergency and Fire Procedures
- To observe and supervise practice within agreed company policies, procedures and protocols, CQC standards and guidelines, Department of Health guidelines and legislations, including Mental Health Act and Code of Practice
- To ensure all staff are compliant with supervision, appraisals, training and continuing professional development and oversee to ensure personnel files comply with CQC regulations
- Work with and develop strong relationships with the Multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the correct standards are met
- To manage and maintain agreed budgets in conjunction with the Operations Director / Managing Director by monitoring and managing capital expenditures with department heads
- The post holder will ensure conformity with Group expectations and National Care Standards set by legislation and regulatory bodies including CQC and the quality standards set by Cygnet Health Care, at the same time as developing the service within a defined timescale
- To promote equality, diversity, rights and responsibilities of staff and individuals in our care at all times in accordance with statutory requirements, and Cygnet Health Care Group Policy and Procedures
- Lead and model Cygnet values and behaviours and use them to provide a daily framework for your working.
- To safeguard and protect the individuals we care for, or individuals connected to the people Cygnet supports.
Qualifications
- Essential: Relevant accredited training courses
- Essential: Full car driving licence or ability to fulfil the mobility requirements of the role such as attending regional meetings or reviews
- Desirable: Educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Desirable: Qualified Nurse (with current pin)
- Desirable: Formal Management development qualifications
Experience
- Two years significant management /leadership experience in a similar setting is required, at a standard assessed as ‘competent’ in all aspects of the job
