We are looking for two enthusiastic Community Mental Health Nurses with Older Adult Mental Health experience to join our Caithness Community Mental Health team based at Town & County Hospital, Wick.
Duties
- Your role will be with adults over the age of 65 or of any age if there is a memory concern.
- It will involve assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan, in partnership with the client, family, and carers. You will also be involved in the assessment and management of ongoing risk.
- The role will involve medication monitoring, liaising with Psychiatrists, Primary Care, and with other Social Care services, referring on to other services as appropriate. You will be an active member of an MDT, and you will be supervising students and Support Workers on occasion.
- The applicant would be required to travel efficiently and effectively to undertake the role.
- A full driving licence is essential, and a pool car may be available; however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.
- Applicants must be registered with the NMC and work within the code of conduct at all times.

Additional Information For Candidates
- Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
