Registered Manager - Domiciliary Care

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE)

About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to take full operational responsibility for a domiciliary care service based in Cardiff. This role offers the opportunity to lead, stabilise and grow a community-based care service while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, quality and person-centred care.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring full compliance with CIW and RISCA regulations, supporting and developing a diverse care team, and driving service improvement and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership for a domiciliary care service supporting adults in their own homes
- Ensure full compliance with CIW, RISCA and internal policies and procedures
- Lead, motivate and develop care staff through supervision, training and performance management
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management, audits and quality assurance processes
- Coordinate care delivery, rotas and on-call duties to ensure all care packages are safely covered
- Conduct assessments, reviews and amendments of care and risk assessments
- Manage complaints, incidents and investigations professionally and thoroughly
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and Statements of Purpose
- Build strong relationships with families, professionals and external stakeholders
- Drive service development, referrals and ethical business growth beyond local authority frameworks
Requirements
- Significant experience within domiciliary care (essential)
- Experience as a Registered Manager or in a senior management role (preferred)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Strong knowledge of CIW/RISCA legislation and regulatory standards
- Proven ability to lead, stabilise and develop care teams
- Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Flexible approach, including on-call responsibilities
