Care Supervisor / Team Leader – Community Care (Conwy)
Working in Llandudno, Conwy, Colwyn Bay and Abergele areas.
This is not a desk-based management role — and it’s not about ticking boxes.
We’re looking for a hands-on Team Leader who leads from the front, supports others to do their best work, and genuinely cares about the quality of life of the people we support.
At Calon Lan, Team Leaders are central to everything we do. You’re trusted, listened to, and given the space to lead in a way that reflects our values — not just policies.
Is this you?
You might already be a senior carer or supervisor who:
- Takes pride in doing things properly
- Enjoys supporting and developing others
- Notices when standards slip and acts early
- Communicates clearly and calmly, even under pressure
- Believes dignity, respect, and kindness are non-negotiable
You don’t need to be perfect — but you do need to care.
The role, in reality
As a Team Leader, you’ll:
- Support and guide Care Workers across your allocated team(s)
- Monitor the quality of care and step in when support is needed
- Help new colleagues settle in and grow in confidence
- Work alongside managers to keep rotas safe, fair, and efficient
- Remain involved in care delivery, not removed from it
- Be part of the on-call rota and support the service when it matters most
This role requires flexibility — including some evenings and weekends — because good leadership shows up when the team needs it.
What makes Calon Lan different?
- We invest in our workforce, not just talk about it
- Training and development are built into the role
- We’ve achieved Investors in People Gold twice — because we mean it
- You’ll be supported, not micromanaged
- Decisions are guided by values, not just cost
We expect high standards — and we support you to meet them.
What you’ll get in return
- Salary: starting at £26,750 - (based on a 35-hour week)
- 5.6 weeks paid holiday
- Comprehensive paid training and development
- Corporate uniform provided
- Full-time or part-time contracts available
- A professional, supportive, and genuinely caring team
Ready for a role that actually feels rewarding?
If you want a leadership role where your judgement is trusted, your work is recognised, and your values align with the organisation you work for — we’d love to hear from you.
