Care Assistant (Live in)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated FEMALE Live-in Care Assistant to provide personalised support and assistance to individuals with a spinal cord injury in their own homes.
The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive care, effective communication, and a respectful approach. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a supportive environment. A good knowledge of the London area is also required.
Duties
- Offer personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the client’s needs and preferences are met with dignity and respect.
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition to relevant healthcare professionals.
- Manage household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organising appointments as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements
- Valid Full UK or International driving licence and ability to drive safely are essential.
- Experience working in a care setting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow prescribed routines accurately.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication.
- Excellent communication skills with a caring and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating organisational skills to manage daily responsibilities effectively.
- Female carer (genuine occupational requirement)
- Proven spinal injury experience (preferred but not essential)
- Comfortable taking direction and listening
- Professional, reliable, and calm under pressure
- Must be willing to travel to dirrent locations (we pay travel costs)
