Job Description:
This role has responsibility for the CQC-registered Widmore Road Learning Disability respite service and is based within the service.
The Registered Manager will have overall operational oversight of the service and will directly line-manage the staff team. The postholder will report to the London Learning Disability Locality Manager and will work closely with them to ensure the delivery of a safe, effective, and high-quality service.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Delivering Outstanding Care
- Ensuring individuals receive personalised support that promotes independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion, with care plans that reflect their evolving needs.
- Driving Quality & Compliance
- Overseeing CQC registration and ensuring the Widmore Road service meets all regulatory and statutory requirements, maintaining safe, effective, and well-led services at all times.
- Leading & Developing Teams
- Providing day-to-day leadership to the staff team, ensuring effective management, clear direction, and ongoing support to maintain high standards of care and support delivery.
- Ensuring Accountability
- Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints, while working closely with the Locality Manager to drive continuous improvement and ensure ongoing compliance across the service.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable experience of working within a respite service, ideally within the Learning Disability sector.
- Strong understanding of the adult social care sector and relevant regulatory frameworks, including CQC requirements.
- Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to effectively oversee a service and staff team.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- A flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the service.
- A minimum of 12 months remaining on your Right to Work in the UK.
