Who we are
At Crossroads Home Care, children and young adults are at the heart of everything we do. We support families by providing compassionate, reliable care that enables children with additional and complex needs to live full, happy and meaningful lives — both at home and in their community.
We're looking for caring, empathetic individuals who can become a trusted and valued part of a child's or young adult's world, and a supportive presence for their family.
At Crossroads Home Care, we're growing our team across Oxfordshire and Berkshire. We're currently recruiting for three roles — read below and apply for the one that fits you best.
About Role
Care Worker — Windsor / Newbury & surrounding areas | From £14.27/hour + paid mileage | Own vehicle required
Visit clients in their own homes for personal care, medication, meals, mobility support and outings — plus giving 24-hour carers a well-earned break. Zero-hour contract with potential to move to permanent.
Some individuals may have more complex or specialist needs, including support with mobility equipment or specific health conditions. Full, paid training will be provided so you feel confident delivering all aspects of care. You'll follow individual care plans and risk assessments, work collaboratively with families and professionals, and always prioritise safeguarding and wellbeing.
Who we're looking for
Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential — what matters most is your approach and values. We're looking for people who are:
- Kind, patient and naturally empathetic
- Genuinely enjoy working with children, young adults, and adults
- Communicate clearly and work well as part of a team
- Are reliable and emotionally aware
- Want to make a meaningful difference
- Are willing to learn and develop new skills
We believe compassion and empathy are the most important qualities — skills can be taught, but a caring nature is invaluable.
Why Crossroads Home Care?
- Fully paid training, including specialist care skills
- Ongoing supervision and support
- Opportunities for professional development
- Flexible live-in rotations
- A rewarding role with meaningful, one-to-one relationships
- The opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life
A truly rewarding role
This is more than a job. It's about helping people maintain their independence, dignity, and comfort in their own homes. It's about being a consistent, reassuring presence and making a genuine impact every day.
