Role Description
The Nursing Home Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational management, and quality of care at Abbey Dale House. This full-time, on-site role in Colwyn Bay includes overseeing day-to-day clinical and residential services, ensuring person-centered care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding standards.
Key tasks include managing staff schedules and performance, supporting workforce training and development, and fostering a positive, inclusive culture for residents, families, and team members.
The Manager will also handle budgeting and resource allocation, oversee admissions and care planning, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident experience and outcomes. Collaboration with healthcare professionals, local authorities, and families is essential to ensure effective communication and high-quality long-term care.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Nursing Home Administration and overall care home management.
- Experience in Long-term Care and Elder Care, with a strong person-centered care approach.
- Ability to manage Budgeting and resource planning to support high-quality services.
- Experience in staff Training, coaching, and performance management within a care setting.
- Recognised healthcare or social care qualification (e.g., nursing registration or Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Thorough understanding of relevant care regulations, safeguarding practices, and quality standards.
- Proven ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively to changing care needs.
