Role summary
More Energy Care Services (MECS) is seeking a Live-In Carer to support people in Bedfordshire. You will provide person-centred care in the individual’s home, helping them maintain dignity, independence and wellbeing. MECS is a health and social care provider specialising in domiciliary care, live-in care, complex support and specialised provisions for children and adults.
Key responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful support tailored to each person’s needs, preferences and routines.
- Assist with day-to-day personal care and practical tasks in line with the individual’s care plan.
- Encourage independence and support the person to take part in activities that are important to them.
- Observe and communicate changes in wellbeing, and share relevant information with the appropriate care team.
- Maintain privacy, dignity and confidentiality while working safely and professionally in the home.
- Build a trusting relationship with the person and, where appropriate, their family and other support professionals.
Qualifications
- A caring, patient and reliable approach, with respect for each person’s choices and individuality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently while following guidance and care plans.
- Experience in care or a similar support role is helpful; a willingness to learn and develop is important.
- Ability to provide live-in support in Bedfordshire and carry out the responsibilities of the role with professionalism.
