Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our care services from our Plymouth office. This is a vital leadership role responsible for the operational management of care delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in service quality.

You will lead a team of care professionals, coordinate complex care packages, and serve as a central point of contact for families, clients, healthcare professionals, and regulators. The role requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on management to ensure our clients receive safe, personalised, and outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the care service in line with CQC regulations and Devoncare standards
Develop, monitor, and review personalised care plans
Supervise and support care staff, ensuring effective team performance and ongoing development
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and quality assurance processes
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and commissioning bodies
Manage administrative tasks including record-keeping, rota planning, and budget oversight
Promote a culture of safeguarding and uphold client dignity, independence, and rights
Drive service improvements and innovation in line with industry best practice

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
Proven experience in a management or senior supervisory role within the care sector
In-depth understanding of CQC standards and regulatory frameworks
Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to multitask and problem-solve effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Up-to-date DBS certificate
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and working with vulnerable adults
Experience managing complex care packages is highly desirable
