Role: Care Assistant. Also known as Elderly Befriender, Care Professional, Home Care Assistant and Care Visitor

Location: Watton IP25

Pay: We pay excellent hourly rates of £13.39 per hour (£15 earned wage including holiday pay) We also pay time and a half on bank holidays.

Working patterns: 7am - 10pm or 2pm-10pm or 6pm-10pmGUARANTEED hours available. Staff work anything from 10-20 hours a week. With clients needing a mixture of morning, afternoon and evening support.

Who are we?

At Home Instead, we offer a Domiciliary Care service, providing Care Coordination, Companionship and Personal Care to support clients in their daily living in the comfort of their own homes.

Our visits are always a minimum of 1 hour so there is opportunity to provide companionship to the client as well as the essential tasks they need support with. We always introduce new clients and care professionals to each other so neither person is a stranger to the other.

Key responsibilities:

Companionship, such as providing emotional support and social interaction to help our Clients feel connected and valued. It can include activities like sharing meals, playing games, conversation or going for walks.
Personal care (washing, dressing, grooming and other toileting needs)
Helping with mobility around the home, such as cleaning, vacuuming and changing bedding.
Performing light housekeeping tasks
Overseeing medication and providing medical support
Preparing and cooking meals
Assist client to eat and drink
Running errands such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions
Help with continence care
Possibly to provide Dementia / Alzheimer care (depending on client)
Assist with morning/wake up and or evening/tuck in

Requirements:

You must be able to work Alternate Weekends as part of this role.
Your own transport to make your way to our Clients
