Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. This position requires a strong commitment to supporting individuals with varying needs, including those with dementia and other health challenges.

Duties

Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Assist with medication administration as per care plans and under supervision.
Support residents in daily activities and encourage their independence.
Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being.
Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting with mobility or transferring residents.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while ensuring a clean and safe environment for all residents.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Experience

Previous experience in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly desirable.
Familiarity with dementia care practices is advantageous.
Qualifications in first aid or relevant healthcare training are preferred.
Experience in home care or hospice care settings will be considered an asset.
A background as a nurse or nursing assistant is beneficial but not mandatory.
